I. Introduction
Take control and lead a nation of your choosing into the early 20th century and beyond! something something something - will your civilization stand the test of time?

II. Requirements
"Officially" you will need G&K, BNW, Inca/Spain, and Korea. See FAQ for more details.

III. Installation
*Note: Unless you are completely new to manually installing scenarios, you probably will not need these instructions.
	1) Navigate to C:\Users\YourWindowsUsername\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS
	2) Create a new folder; name it "Into a New Century (v 105)"
	3) Extract contents of "Into a New Century (v 105).civ5mod" inside of the folder you created in step 2.
	4) Navigate to C:\Users\YourWindowsUsername\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Into a New Century (v 105)\map
	5) Copy the "Into a New Century v0.74.Civ5Map" file.
	6) Navigate to C:\Users\YourWindowsUsername\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps
	7) Paste the "Into a New Century v0.74.Civ5Map" file inside of the \Maps\ directory.
	8) Start Civilization 5, enable Into a New Century in the mods menu etc etc.
	9) Select the "Into a New Century" map under "additional maps", click load scenario.
	10) Play.

IV. Troubleshooting
Before reporting an issue, ask yourself these 5 questions:
		1) Have I enabled the mod?
		2) Have I properly followed the installation instructions?
		3) Have I read the "Known Issues" section of the description and am certain that my issue is not or only partially covered?
		4) Have I attempted to isolate and ensure that Into a New Century is causing the issue by disabling all other mods?
4a. If this is what fixes your issue, please contact the author and let him know which mod is causing the conflict.
		5) Have I verified my game cache through steam?
If you answer "Yes" and none of these preliminary steps resolve your issue, please contact the author and file a bug report. When filing a report, include a copy of your .mdmp (crash dump; only if applicable) and database, XML, LUA, and SQL logs. For more information on enabling logging, please see section V.

V. Enabling Logging
When it comes to fixing bugs, crash dumps and logs are probably one of the most - if not the most - valuable things I can have. They tell me what is going wrong, when it is going wrong, and why (sometimes) it is going wrong. Logging is not enabled by default, however, and must be done by the end user via a relatively simple process. For your convenience, it is reprinted below:
		1) Navigate to this directory: C:\Users\YourWindowsUsername\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5
		2) Open the "Config.ini" file.
		3) Find (or CTRL-F) this string, without quotes: "ValidateGameDatabase"
		4) Change the line you find from "ValidateGameDatabase = 0" to "ValidateGameDatabase = 1" (again, without quotes)
		5) Find (or CTRL-F) this string, without quotes: "LoggingEnabled"
		6) Change the line you find from "LoggingEnabled = 0" to "LoggingEnabled = 1"
		7) Save your changes.
		8) Logs for each specific game session will now be saved in this directory: C:\Users\Greg\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Logs
		9) If you are reporting a bug, compress your Database.log, Lua.log, SQL.log, and XML.log files into an archive (.zip, .7z, .rar etc.) Please upload and send these to me whenever convenient.
*Note that all logs in your \Logs\ directory are applicable only to your last session - if you start civ 5 through steam, start the world builder, or do anything involving launching the civ 5 launch.exe, these logs will be overwritten. Please ensure that your last session is explicitly using only my mod and its required dependencies.

VI. Known Issues
	-No known issues.

VII. Conflicts
	-No known conflicts.

VIII. How to report a bug
	1) See section IV and V.

IX. Frequently (jk) Asked Questions

TL;DR: Although the mod prizes historical and geographical accuracy, unfortunately minor concessions must be made in the interests of a satisfying gameplay experience for the end user.

Q: What do you mean I "officially need" [insert dlc here]?
A: "Officially" as in "The mod shouldn't even start at all without the DLC but it's technically possible and a long time ago a few people said it worked and nobody has said otherwise so just to be on the safe side I tell people they need it anyway because when people report bugs (aka migraine generators) there's one less possible point of failure to deal with and that I can't even promise to help or even be willing to help in the first place. Officially."

Q: Why is X civ so powerful / weak?

Q: Why isn't Monaco / Luxembourg / Montenegro / [insert nation that is relatively unimportant in historical global affairs here] represented on the scenario map?
A: Space reasons, mostly. Also because I don't trust Montenegrins. I don't want to talk about it.

Q: Why are some cities seemingly not placed where they should be? (e.g. Athens being located in Peloponnia instead of Attica)
A: 99.9999% of the time this was a conscious decision to provide a better gameplay experience for the mod user. To put it simply: if everything were accurate, nothing would be fun. And by "nothing would be fun" I don't mean the "wow, these smaller city distances sure do make things challenging, yet fun in a way that is conducive to a satisfying gameplay experience for the end user AKA me also this is how normal people absolutely talk!" way, I mean the "wow, these smaller city distances make things frustrating in a cheap way and detract from my overall game experience!" way. As such you will generally find that in almost all cases cities are seperated by 3 tiles of distance (barring certain exceptions e.g. separated by a body of water / couldn't find a better way to do it and I consider the city absolutely necessary).

Q; Will you ever enable (scientific/diplomatic/cultural/time/custom type victories?)
	A: See individual list below.
		1. Science: No. Top-tier countries win far too easily, and although I purposefully designed an unbalanced scenario, I do have issues with players not being able to compensate for the historical advantages of others through skill of their own. Science victories are numbers games, and numbers games != skill.
		2. Diplomatic: Maybe, though low to mid-tier countries are at a severe disadvantage. Not science-victory tier disadvantage, but still a far too present disadvantage.
		3. Cultural: Maybe. Give a good argument (other than "hurr durr cuz i think its agud idea)
		4. Time: Maybe, leaning no. See Cultural.
		5. Custom: Sure, if you have an idea or are good at coding get in touch with me; I can already name a few off the top of my head.

Q: Will you ever increase the amount of civilizations present in-game (e.g. from 22 to 43)
A: Probably not. As far as I can recall the .dll that raises the limit brings a whole host of issues into the fold, including trade routes / world congress / spies / more not functioning or even just completely breaking and causing crashes. Even if those issues were fixed, I'd still have to ask the author for permission to include the file, and there is no guarantee he would necessarily would say yes. The biggest issue, though, is that the .dll isn't compatible with the world builder (which itself has many, many, many issues - nice community commitment btw firaxis lol), which was the main tool used to create this scenario. As exciting as literally re-coding the scenario from the ground up sounds to me, I'm going to pass.

Q: Why is Queen Victoria the leader of the English Empire? She died in 1901!
A: Yes, this was a conscious decision. No, I will not change it. Victoria is more recognizable than Edward VXII, and after comparing the pros/cons of the situation, I find a minor historical inaccuracy to be subservient to a better gameplay experience.

Q: Why do turn times take so long?
A: something something computer specs / shitty optimization (nice dedication to a better end-user experience btw firaxis lol)

Q: Why does my game keep crashing?
A: Maybe computer specs, maybe because of the mod. If it's the latter, file a report and include your logs and, if possible, crash dumps. (nice job making crash dumps easily accessible and informative to the end user btw firaxis lol)
