Z-Eras -- Reality Alternatives_G&K (v2)
by Zyxpsilon

*v1_NOTES; Complies with Gods & Kings expansion features... but sorry, still no luck with local LUA encoding to allow proper integration of the Ancient popup!

**IMPORTANT NOTES; This Mod cannot be activated while in Vanilla gameplay and IF G&K DLC is off. Unless we get a compatibility Tag, you'll have to verify checkmark options before starting games.

== Description ==

Provides alternatives to the vanilla Era introduction/welcome screens along with a few visual information details such as Techs/Units/Buildings/Wonders amount, Strategic Resources & workers' action tags.

There's a coloring theme pattern for the TB_frames as you will see; Ancient/Greyscale, Classical/Cyan, Medieval/Green, Renaissance/Yellow, Industrial/Red, Modern/Violet, Atomic/Blue & Information/Magenta.

Here's a quick summary of the essentials;

ANCIENT; 12T-9U-8B-6W.
Duh - Stonehenge, what else!?

CLASSICAL; 9T-4U-9B-7W+4N.
Circus Maximus in Rome for the background. Ben Hur Chariot and the extensively edited Gladiator from a painting by Jean-Lon Grome Pollice.

MEDIEVAL; 10T-6U-7B-7W+3N.
Castle in the "clouds"... Fredrik Alfredsson's drawing of a Templar Knight at DeviantArt also with lots of editing work done to fit screen height.

RENAISSANCE; 10T-6U-8B-7W+1N.
Dutch's Gouden Leeuw frigate at the battle of Holland Texel island in 1673 as depicted by painter Van de Velde.

INDUSTRIAL; 10T-5U-8B-3W+1N.
Steam(pun intended!) train, smokestacks, Statue of Liberty.

MODERN; 9T-11U-4B-4W.
Robert Taylor's Artwork of Battleship Bismarck at sea.

ATOMIC; 8T-10U-4B-3W.
City of Hong Kong and much of the icons integrated are self-explanatory.

INFORMATION; 12T-9U-2B-3W.
Futuristic city is an absolutely superb "painting" by artist Staszek Marek.

As for the remaining elements found in each of these Era-Images, it's mostly a matter of personal opinions about a few game concepts.

-- The centralized Tech shown is a key choice to make (or not!).

-- On the left-side the small icon represents some reference to general trends within essential gameplay balance; in order of appearance... Citizens (let them cities reach a reasonably high but minimal level), Cultural (nothing like a solid base of influence), Food (Growth feeds an army), Science (Knowledge of power stacks the advantages), Production (Invade or be invaded), Espionage (THAT'S what Strategy means), Gold (as in Capitalism & Luxury), Utopia (Where else is the real future of Humanity?).

-- Strategic resources, Projects, SS parts got their fair share of attention too.

-- Some Unit actions are all listed on the bottom strip(s) & Ancient has plenty.

***v?_NOTES; Much further... i'm planning to add a highly complex new set of popups (Eras Center) where supplemental data will be accessible through mouseclick-scanning on the top-orbs & some buttons located in the bottom area; Pseudo Tech-Tree locations, Priority ratings for each Victory conditions, Element names, Statistics and so on.
